Transformers Cake

I'm grateful for this Transformers cake that brought the biggest smile to my son's face for his birthday.
YOU make me happy, buddy. You're a handsome, courageous, energetic boy. You are my little monkey and can be found up in a tree more than on the ground. Your climbing and gymnastics skills blow me away.  You know more about cars, trucks, motorcycles, wild animals, and dinosaurs than I EVER could. You have a genius imagination, especially when it comes to building forts. You tell the funniest jokes and can always make other laugh. But my favorite thing about you is your tender, sensitive heart and how you treat others with kindness. I love you!

5th Birthday

I'm grateful for this big boy's 5th birthday. We only have a friends party every other year, so this year, it was special to have one-on-one time with grandparents and see some cousins, too. He was excited for his knight and horse from Grandpa and Grandma Stoney and a garbage truck from Grandpa and Grandma Reed.  He's a blessed boy to have so many people that love him.

Banana Cream Pie

I'm grateful for the excuse I had to make banana cream pie Sunday when mom and Keith came to visit. It was the perfect combination to the pot roast and potatoes we had for lunch. Yum! Growing up, banana cream pie was always one of my favorite desserts, and since I hadn't made one for a long time, I was kind of giddy for that first bite. Can you blame me? ;)

Grandpa and Grandma Stoney's visit

I'm grateful for Grandpa and Grandma Stoney's visit Sunday to enjoy General Conference with us, eat lunch, make crafts, and have a little Easter Egg Hunt for the kids since we'll be out of town for the big family egg hunt this weekend. It was sweet to have that one-on-one time with them. Thanks mom and Keith for coming!
Apparently, the kids found their eggs fast! Check out the blurry action shots Wade took. lol

Jungle Animals during Conference

I'm grateful for jungle animals that keep kids quietly entertained during a very uplifting General Conference today. I especially like how my son will put some of the animals right in my plant as if that's the real jungle. Last conference, the kids mostly colored, but this time they played with the jungle animals, too.  I'm just grateful they were calm and quiet so we could all listen to the wonderful speakers.

I was inspired by the words of M. Russell Ballard. He focused on the importance of families and doing the little extras that bring happiness in family life, which then influences a happier community and better world in general. He said, "When families work and play together, neighborhoods and communities flourish, economies improve, and less government and fewer costly safety nets are required." Words of wisdom, I think. :)

New Look Of Our Master Bathroom

I'm grateful for the new look of our master bathroom. Our amazing realtor, Dave Winters, had a professional stager come assist us to prepare our home to sell. She loved the look of our Master Bedroom, but wanted the Master Bath to coordinate if possible. We had this cute purple collection (below) Wade's mom gave us when she updated her bathroom years ago. We're always grateful for hand me downs, but we're now loving this new fresh look of the chocolate brown.

Canvas Painting

I'm grateful for this canvas painting I found at Target to add color in the Master Bedroom. After converting the old preschool room to the Master Bedroom, the west wall was empty for the longest time. It felt wonderful to finally hang our vision board there, but we knew we needed to take that down to neutralize the home once it's on the market to sell. So this cool canvas painting went in it's place. What do you think?
