Handel's Messiah

I'm grateful for Handel's "Messiah," the most glorious music ever written. Tonight, the Wasatch Presbyterian Church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teamed up to create a beautiful sing-in experience for our community. I was on fire! The Hallelujah Chorus is my favorite piece of music ever and to sing it with hundreds of other Christians is the best feeling in the world. I have done it many times before, but each time feels just as empowering and inspiring. It's Heaven on Earth. Amen and Amen!

Neighborhod Christmas Party

I'm grateful for our Neighborhood Christmas Party last Saturday. The other Young Women leaders were overwhelmed with the task, so I volunteered to be in charge of planning, delegating, and feeding 300 people, all for under $200. What a unique opportunity, and believe it or not, I did not get stressed out! It was SO MUCH FUN, in fact, that I think I need to be an Event Coordinator as a side job. haha It was sweet to have people of all faiths meet in our church building and bring breakfast casseroles, fruit, and oatmeal to share while we served fresh hot french toast, pancakes, milk, and juice. The men set up the tables and chairs and then the young women and leaders decorated the gym into a warm, welcoming, Christmas celebration. It looked gorgeous! We were able to decorate for little cost using natural items like mini tree trunks, bows, and pine cones. I was grateful everyone worked together to create such a fun experience and memory for all of us. Even Santa showed up after breakfast, caroling, and the children's craft. More pictures to come from that... ;)

Shrimp for the first time in 10 years!

I'm grateful to enjoy shrimp for the first time in 10 years! A decade ago, I developed severe allergic reactions to both broccoli and shrimp. Every time I would try again and have just a taste, instantly my throat and lungs tightened up and I felt like I couldn't breathe. Sooo scary!

My chiropractor, Dr. Jerry Duggar, recently worked with me to overcome my broccoli allergy, and the last few months, my NAET Allergist, Lisa O'Donnal, helped me with my chemical imbalances and my shrimp allergy. She also worked with my daughter on her gluten sensitivity, and she's eating bread again without her congestion and eczema acting up! Lisa also taught me some muscle testing and energy work I can do at home to keep my daughter feeling healthy and strong and eating gluten again. Yay! I cannot express what a relief this is for our family! If any of you are tired of your allergies, seasonal, food, pet, whatever, just email or message me, and I'll give you Lisa's contact info. She's been such a blessing in our lives!

Dancing Partners

I'm grateful for these two dancing partners that keep me laughing whenever they team up and spontaneously start dancing together. Maybe they could teach their mommy and daddy a few lessons because Wade and I always fight over who takes the lead when we go dancing. He INSISTS it's the guy, but I'm a born leader so I always want him to follow my lead. haha

Yogurt

I'm grateful for yogurt that makes this little one SUPER happy. She's been really ornery this week from teething pain, and giving her yogurt is one of the few things that stops the constant crying and whining. I feel so bad my baby is in pain, and I just want those teeth to come through so she can feel relief!

The Swimming Pool in My Room

I'm grateful for the swimming pool in my room created by these crazy kids of mine. They're famous for building killer forts in just about every room of the house (except the kitchen), but this time, they took the same pillows and blankets and named their creation, "the swimming pool." They spent a good half hour diving from the "diving board" to the "deep, deep swimming pool." Wade was cracking up and snapped a few pics while I was at a Young Women's activity so he could show me later. Thank goodness for our camera to help us preserve their wild imaginations. ;)

Aftermath From Our Trip

I'm grateful for the aftermath from our trip to St. George. It helps me appreciate a clean home so much more once everything is finally put away! It usually takes me a week to recover from a trip, and this one was no different. Besides the actual physical work to pack and take care of laundry and clean up afterwards, it's just emotionally exhausting to pack, travel there, play, travel back home, unpack, etc. But it's soooo worth it to see my mom, dad, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, Grandma, best friends, and those beautiful red mountains of Southern Utah. Home sweet home.
