I'm grateful to have a clean, flushing toilet.
There are thousands in this world that don't have that convenience. My good friend, Melissa Sevy, and her brother, Sean, and their team, are in India making a change in the world. They are building toilets in some local slums where people have to "heed the call of nature" out in the open, which leads to a variety of diseases and dangers. These toilets ("Soilets") are cheap, easy-to-build, and actually use earthworms in the holding tank that eat up the waste... so it doesn't smell and the waste is turned into really fertile soil people can use. Here's a
video that humbled me and moved me to action. YOU can
help, too! Just click on this link. Even $1 would be greatly appreciated! The bucket needs to tip by TODAY or they don't get the funding needing.
What are YOU grateful for?
